Every job is different and so some jobs do require a greater knowledge of the language. We also try to accommodate people with a more modest command of the language.

How will the program start?

As soon as we have gathered alll of the important information from the participant about what the would like to do. They will probably have an interview with one of our local workers during which the field of work and best possible matches will be discussed.

The following areas are all possibilities while working in the hotel and catering business:

* House keeping

* Cleaning lady/man

* Waiter/Waitress in hotels, restaurants or cafés

Yes, a general rule is that a telephone interview will suffice. When an interview is going to happen then the participant should make themselves familiar with the company before the interview takes place. If a face to face interview is granted then the participant should dress nicely and make a good impression. It is recommended that black shoes and pants be worn along with a white shirt or blouse.

That depends on where you can find a suitable job. Many participants take it upon themselves to find their own housing. We can also look into finding housing if it is wanted. It is also sometimes possible to find lodging with your employer, for example, if you are working with a hotel.

How many hours would I have to work?

A normal number is about 35 hours per week. You are not allowed to work more than 48 hours per week.

Would I have a free day?

You would normally have 2 free days per week. We can not guarantee that you could take these days on the weekend though. The weekend is the busiest time for tourist related work so the free days may be during the week.

In which region would I work?

Most positions are in rural areas like Cornwall, Devon, and Norfolk. There are many very pretty hotels in these areas where you could work and also live. It is hard to find a job in London. If we have your application earlier enough (at least two months before departure) then that would give us more time to do our best and try and find a fitting position.
