What is meant exactly by "internship"?
An internship is an unpaid position in which one will recieve an extensive look into a certain field of work. After the internship is over, they will have gained knowledge and experience in this specific area of work.
Do I to have to be interviewed before I start working?
Yes, a general rule is that a telephone interview will suffice. When an interview is going to take happen then the participant should make themselves familiar with the company before the interview takes place. If a face to face interview is granted then the participant should dress nicely and make a good impression. It is recommended that black shoes and pants be worn along with a white shirt or blouse.
Is a certain language speaking capability needed?
Every job is different and so some jobs do require a greater knowledge of the language. We also try to accommodate people with a more modest command of the language.
What type of internships could I choose from?
In principle, all fields of work are open when looking for an internship. Law, journalism, accounting, public relations, and marketing are all possibilities. It is very rare that someone desires to work in a field that is too specific and that we are unable to find a fitting internship.
Does the participant pay for the journey and other expenses?
In some cases the company will compensate the intern for some expenses and travel. However, this is solely up to the employer and so one should not expect this to happen.
How high are the chances that I will be working my dream internship?
If we recieve your application at an early enough time we will do all we can to find you an internship in the area that you really want. A change of mind at the last moment is not possible. It should also be clear that we are only the medium between the intern and the employer. The bottom line is that much of the responsibility to find an internship lies with the participant and whether or not they are able to get the internship or not.
When will one know where they will work?
We will inform our participants about where they will work as soon as our colleagues inform us about the exact work location. A general rule is that one will know about their work situation at least two weeks before they are asked to start working.
How long does the program last ?
One could make up to a 24 week long program (see details in the catalogue).
Do I need a visa?
The EU does not require a visa. But the governments of other countries might require one. The best advice is to contact the Spanish Embassy for more information.

How will the program start?
As soon as we have gathered alll of the important information from the participant about what they would like to do. They will probably have an interview with one of our local workers during which the field of work and best possible matches will be discussed.
We are constantly in contact with our participants to inform them about the exciting jobs and opportunities we are confirming for them.
Which tasks could one expect to have as an intern?
That depends on the employer and the qualifications and experience that the intern already has. You could often find yourself being busy with administrative duties. It is also probable that the intern will take on smaller tasks before they are given any big projects.
Where would I live?
That depends on where we can find a suitable internship. Many participants take it upon themselves to find their own housing. We can also look into finding housing if it is wanted.
Which age group normally takes part in this program?
The age group of normal participants is between 18 and 30.
Will there be someone there that speaks my mother tongue in case I do not understand what is happening?
Yes, in case of an emergency there will be someone that speaks your first language that will help you.
Can one bring their boy or girlfriend along?
We always try to keep participants together if they want to be. However, many employers do not like it when partners work together in the same area. Still more, it is most likely that language ability, work experience, ect., are not the same which makes it even more problematic trying to find a position that fits for both people. We still try our best to find something and see if it is possible.
What happens if one does not like the internship?
If one does not like the internship then one should notify one of our local workers in the area and talk them about the reasons that one would want to change.

Is it possible to take a job with the same employer after the internship is over?
This possibility happens only in very rare cases. In principle, after the internship the participant is free to decide what they want to do. If this is a possibility then we would of course be very happy for the participant if they could find a lasting job.
Will one recieve a certificate at the end of their work?
Yes, as long as one has finished the entire program.
