Volunteer Programs - Costa Rica

Volunteer Costa Rica

Did you know...

… why the Costa Ricans have been playfully called "Ticos"?

Costa Ricans love to put the diminutive ending "tico" onto the end of words. They don't say "blanquito" (little, white) like the Spanish say, but rather the Ticos will say "blanquitico" or even "blanquititico" and this is the reason for their nickname.
