…that small ghost houses on high poles stand in front of many houses-the so called San Jao Thi shrine and the upper San Phra shrine? The reason is the belief that every piece of land is occupied by a ghost and a new home for the earth ghost is needed. Once in a week and in festive occasions small bowls with drinks and food are placed in front of the food houses. These shrines should protect house owners and ensure them a happy life.
