Extend your voluntary stay  –  Do you plan to discover more of this exotic land? No problem - just add one of our weekly upgrades to your 4 weeks e.g. a tour through central Thailand or just relax at the beach. We offer many possibilities to make your stay into an adventure:


Thai Boxing – Learn Thai Boxing, a martial art of Muay Thai and Thailand's national sport! You will learn how to use your elbows and knee techniques efficiently and how to defend yourself.

 

Central Thailand Tour – Combine nature, history and culture in one tour! The tour starts with a visit to the province Uthai Thani which is surrounded by amazing nature and leads you to the significant temple Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat in the city Phitsanulok. Off we go to the huge history park Sukhotai where the ruins of Sukhotai stand. Sukhotai is one of the former capitals of Thailand which ruled in the 13th century. In the Khamheng museum are numerous art objects displayed which were found in an excavation in and around Sukhotai. You will also get in contact with elephants in the Greenway elephant sanctuary.

 

Culture Week – Experience Thailand's culture! This involves a short documentation about the Buddhism of Thailand which includes a visit to a monastery where you can ask questions to a respective monk. Furthermore, you have the unique opportunity to stay in an authentic temple and experience the life of monks at first hand. A visit in a village gives you insight into the life of the villagers and you will learn more things about Thailand's pottery factory. Rummage through the 100 year old market and observe the market bustle.

 

Bangkok Weekend also as a stopover for Globetrotter! Explore Bangkok a weeknd long! The cultural tradition still prevails in this modern capital city and metropolis and Bangkok offers a wide range of attractions. 400 magnificent Buddhist temples and impressive palaces as the Grand Palace and the Temple of Emerald Buddha Wat Phra Kaeo as well as numerous shopping centers are all over Bangkok. There is the possibility to take beautiful boat trips at the river Chao Phraya and at many canals which also lead to traditional residential districts.


Isarn Tour – Explore Thailand's nature and agriculture! You travel through the northeastern region Isarn which is mostly untouched by tourists, past rice fields and experience the temple life in a village. Furthermore the program includes a visit to the heritage of khmer in the temple complex called Panom Rung, set on the ridge of an extinct volcano. During the travel you will also see some elephants. It is recommended to pack lightly becasue you travel simply by local buses. You will stay overnight at a chosen family.


Northern Thailand Tour – Get to know a different side of Thailand's culture - the hill tribe Akha! This tribe has its origin in the Tibetan highland and normally live in small villages among the mountains. The Akha live on planted vegetables, mostly corn, dry rice, garlic and chilli, as well as animals. Learn more about their tribe, their drinking habits and their food rituals as well as their mystic religion. You will sleep in the house of a chosen family with exception of the last night in Chiang Mai.


Trekking - Expect an adventurous trekking trip in the rainforest and jungle of Phutoei National Park led by friendly and experienced guides. In this region which is 317 sqm wide, live a variety range of exotic animals such as tigers, leopards or elephants. Take the opportunity to visit the hill tribe Akha in their village where you can learn more about their tribe. The week ends with a night in a local hostel in the province Suphanburi.

 

Beach break – Relax at tropical beautiful islands in Koh Samet with its wonderful sandy bays and its rocky shore in the west. At the snow-white beach you can sunbath, swim or snorkel and enjoy the breathtaking sunset in the evening.

 

On request we will gladly offer you a comfortable programme for participants from 30 years onwards.

Conditions to Participate

 

  • At least 18 years old
  • Entry Requirements: a passport which is valid for at least 6 months after the travel time, a stay up to 90 days does not require a visa (tourist visa will suffice)
  • Programme Start: depends on chosen project, normally every Friday
  • Sign Up: up to 2 months before departing is possible, however the earlier the better
  • Length: 4 weeks
