The Rocks
There are wonderful streets to stroll on through the oldest city quarter in “The Rocks”. Centrally located and affectionately restored, one can find restaurants, theatres, bars, and jovial pubs here.
Harbour Tour- Circular Bay
A Harbour Tour is also highly recommended. You can go to Circular Quay, which is in the middle of the central ferry stops. You can find more than just ferries here though; loads of colourful cafes and street art galleries await you.
Shopping in Sydney
The shopping possibilities in Sydney are terrific. There are many possibilities after the total renovation of the Victoria Building in 1986. A visit to the markets in Paddington, The Rocks and Chinatown are also trips you should not miss out on.
Opera House
The most famous city landmark and most photographed sight in Sydney is the Opera House. Did you know that during the end of construction the muscle and sail shaped building was financed by a lottery?
Harbour Bridge
After the Opera House another Sydney landmark is the Harbour Bridge. With its 500 meter arc it is one of the biggest arched bridges in the world. For a small fee you can climb up one of the bridge pillars. The breathtaking view of the city and maybe also the most glorious natural harbour in the world are well worth the climb up.
Sydney Tower
The tower offers a view of one of the prettiest cities in the world from 305 meters in the air. With clear weather one can see the Blue Mountains from here.
Mrs Macquarie's Chair
Enjoy the amazing view of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Use this pretty lookout point to take some nice photos.
